Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.

Scan Stakan Fed 146 Ships to the F-5WYK Grinder

Ninety-one minutes. Two thousand four hundred and forty-two pilots. Two hundred and ninety-eight wrecks. And one Apocalypse Navy Issue that cost more on its own than the next three most expensive losses of the fight put together. F-5WYK, out in the nullsec region of Perrigen Falls, spent three quarters of a trillion ISK in an hour and a half. When the shooting stopped, one alliance accounted for very nearly half the wreckage - and nobody had lost a Titan.

ChuangShi Parked 234 Ships in P-ZMZV. Can't park there m8 Noticed.

The first confirmed loss in P-ZMZV wasn't a ship. At 13:49 the opening entry on the killboard is a capsule - a pilot's escape pod, logged and destroyed. The last entry, some two and a half hours later, is an Osprey Navy Issue flown for Black Layer Syndicate. In between, the system swallowed 581 losses and roughly 1.77 trillion ISK, and when the shooting finally stopped, one side was still out there sweeping the grid for pods.

Rattini Tribe Topped Amamake's Kills and Its Losses

At 22:01 UTC the first wreck of the night was a Slasher, a frigate so cheap it barely registers as a rounding error in a system like Amamake. Nearly four hours later, at 01:59, a Hecate stopped burning and the shooting finally trailed off. In between, Heimatar's most notorious lowsec system swallowed a Titan, a supercarrier, thirty-three capitals and somewhere in the region of 12.2 trillion ISK of everything else. The final tally: 1,705 ships destroyed, roughly 44,900 pilots credited across the killmails, and one alliance sitting proudly at the top of both the kill column and the loss column.

Battles

Evermore Warriors Lose Ten as Eight Capitals Melt in Fifteen Minutes

At 02:06 UTC a Hurricane exploded in V2-GZS. Fourteen minutes later the last loss on the board was a capsule belonging to a Hounds of War. pilot, and the Kalevala Expanse had eight fewer capitals in it than it did a quarter of an hour earlier.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest
Battles

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Battles

Rattini Tribe Led the Amamake Brawl That Cost Someone a Nyx

A Nyx died in Amamake, and the killboard barely had room to notice. The supercarrier - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - was the headline loss in a brawl that pulled in more than nineteen thousand pilots, produced 715 confirmed kills and burned through something close to 2.4 trillion ISK. It began, as these things do in Amamake, with a destroyer.

Battles

African Atomic. Led the Vecamia Grinder That Ate 132 Billion ISK

At 18:36 UTC the first thing to die in Vecamia was a Standup Templar I - a structure-mounted fighter, and by the standards of what came next, small change. Forty-eight minutes later the ledger closed on an Atron. In between, 318 pilots destroyed 126 ships, twelve of them capital hulls, and ran up a bill of 132.2 billion ISK. Almost two-fifths of that total belonged to a single battleship.

Battles

Rattini Tribe Brought a Fleet to Raa and Left With 25 Wrecks

The first ship to die in Raa was a Retriever. Mining barges do not normally open capital engagements, and this one did not last long enough to change that reputation. What followed over the next 102 minutes was something else entirely: 187 pilots, 87 wrecks, 26 dead capitals, a structure, and a bill of roughly 157 billion ISK. The last loss of the night was a capsule, which tells you how the evening finished for at least one pilot.

Battles

One Machariel Was Worth More Than Every Other Wreck in ChuangShi's Grind

The first thing to die in P-ZMZV was a ChuangShi Arazu, at 12:15. The last was a Cosmic-Wanderers capsule, at 15:36. In the three hours and twenty-one minutes between those two killmails, 1,013 pilots threw 198 ships into a structure fight in Querious - and when the wreckage was finally counted, one single ship had outspent everything else in the battle combined. A Machariel. Dead. Sixty-seven billion ISK.

Battles

Half of E-WMT7's Wrecks Belonged to Scan Stakan

Somewhere in E-WMT7, an Apocalypse Navy Issue died carrying 50.8 billion ISK - and by the time the shooting stopped, it was one line in a 374-kill loss report. The engagement ran three hours and twenty-three minutes and produced 133.8 billion ISK of wreckage. Nearly half of those kills, by count, belonged to a single corporation: Scan Stakan lost 186 ships in E-WMT7, with 22 from Heavenly Strategies and smaller tallies from everyone else caught in the system. The Apocalypse was simply the most expensive thing on the list.

The Dark Vanguard's 44 Billion ISK Rokh Was Only the Appetiser
Battles

The Dark Vanguard's 44 Billion ISK Rokh Was Only the Appetiser

At 20:51 UTC a Rokh died in HY-RWO and the killboard briefly looked like a rounding error: 44.7 billion ISK for a single battleship. Nobody in Catch had time to dwell on it. Over the next sixty-five minutes, the system chewed through 242 ships and 182 billion ISK, and the Rokh was merely the first thing on the pile.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Spent Four Hours Bleeding in Dal
Battles

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Spent Four Hours Bleeding in Dal

Dal's first confirmed kill was an Amarr Shuttle, a ship so cheap it barely registers against the ammunition fired at it. By the time the last wreck landed, three hours and forty-one minutes later, 516 ships had died, fourteen of them capitals, and the bill had climbed past 192 billion ISK. Somewhere between that shuttle and the final capsule, a fleet fight turned into a grind that neither side could afford to walk away from.

Diamond Dogs. Killed 34 Ships in a Wormhole and Lost 34 of Their Own
Battles

Diamond Dogs. Killed 34 Ships in a Wormhole and Lost 34 of Their Own

At 01:20 UTC the first ship died in J151838 and it was a Gallente Shuttle - a hull worth less than the ammunition used to break it, and the last cheap thing that happened all night. The last loss came at 02:48: a Bifrost belonging to URSA PRIMUS. In between, 79 ships were destroyed inside a single wormhole system, four of them capitals, and roughly 335 billion ISK went with them - including a Phoenix Navy Issue valued at more than 80 billion on its own. Diamond Dogs. finished the night with 34 kills and 34 losses, a symmetry no ledger makes comfortable.

Scan Stakan Traded 52 Kills for 146 Losses in F-5WYK
Battles

Scan Stakan Traded 52 Kills for 146 Losses in F-5WYK

The most expensive thing to die in F-5WYK was not a Titan, a Supercarrier, or anything with a jump drive. It was an Apocalypse Navy Issue - and losses of the Amarr Navy's battleship accounted for around 287 billion ISK, a figure that would embarrass plenty of capital engagements. Spread that across ninety-one minutes, 298 wrecks and 2,442 pilots and you get 766 billion ISK of scrap drifting through Perrigen Falls, with one organisation's name printed heavily on both sides of the receipt.

Rattini Tribe's Karura Closes Out Amamake's 227 Billion ISK Night
Battles

Rattini Tribe's Karura Closes Out Amamake's 227 Billion ISK Night

Amamake's latest argument began, as these things tend to, with a Thrasher. It ended with a dreadnought worth 121 billion ISK reduced to salvage, an 83 billion ISK Karura as the final entry on the killboard, and something close to 4,000 pilots trying to work out exactly who had just won. The losses ran from just after 20:00 to a last wreck at 22:56. In between, 285 ships came apart for roughly 227 billion ISK, four capitals failed to get out, and not one structure was harmed - which, for a night of this size in Heimatar's most reliably dangerous lowsec system, counts as remarkable restraint.

Battles

Diamond Dogs. Left J113712 With 21 Kills and Almost Nothing Lost

At 20:34 UTC the first ship died in J113712: an Eris, an interdictor - the hull you bring specifically to stop other people leaving. It belonged to Little Red Riding Hole, and it did not leave. Fifty-six minutes later, when the last capsule cracked at 21:30, there were 78 wrecks and roughly 56.6 billion ISK spread across a wormhole system most of New Eden could not find on a map if you gave them the address.

Southern Cross and Evermore Warriors Left Eight Capitals in V2-GZS
Battles

Southern Cross and Evermore Warriors Left Eight Capitals in V2-GZS

Eight capitals died in fifteen minutes over V2-GZS, and the bill came to 56.9 billion ISK. Forty-three ships were destroyed between 02:06 and 02:20 UTC, an engagement short enough that the capitals involved had barely finished committing before they started exploding. Somewhere in that quarter of an hour, an 18.7 billion ISK Revelation Navy Issue stopped being an asset and became a killmail in the Kalevala Expanse.

Brave Newbies Traded 12 Kills for 20 Wrecks in Catch's Hour of Chaos
Battles

Brave Newbies Traded 12 Kills for 20 Wrecks in Catch's Hour of Chaos

The first ship died at 19:25 and the last one at 20:23, and somewhere between those two moments 912 pilots turned 4-07MU into a scrapyard. When it was over, 190 wrecks were drifting through Catch with a combined price tag of 66.8 billion ISK. Not one of them was a capital ship, and not one of them was cheap.

Scan Stakan Traded 54 Kills for 182 Wrecks in E-WMT7
Battles

Scan Stakan Traded 54 Kills for 182 Wrecks in E-WMT7

The most expensive thing to die in E-WMT7 was not a dreadnought. It was not the force auxiliary that came apart in the same engagement. It was a battleship - a single Apocalypse Navy Issue, valued at 50.1 billion ISK, worth more on its own than the next three headline losses combined. Around it, 437 pilots spent 140 minutes turning 132.2 billion ISK into wreckage.

ChuangShi Lost 70 Ships in P-ZMZV and Kept Shooting Back
Battles

ChuangShi Lost 70 Ships in P-ZMZV and Kept Shooting Back

The first confirmed loss in P-ZMZV wasn't a ship. It was a capsule - a pilot already out of their hull, already running, and not fast enough. Eighty-five minutes and 186 wrecks later, the last loss on the board was a capsule too. In between, more than a thousand pilots turned a structure fight in Querious into a 126 billion ISK argument that nobody walked away from cleanly.

Scan Stakan Lost 94 Ships and Still Landed 45 Kills
Battles

Scan Stakan Lost 94 Ships and Still Landed 45 Kills

Thirty-five minutes in F-5WYK left 183 wrecks, four dead capitals and a bill of 163.5 billion ISK. The most striking number of the day, though, sits in the loss column: Scan Stakan lost 94 ships - and killed 45 more on the way down.

African Atomic. Turned Vecamia Into a 132 Billion ISK Junkyard
Battles

African Atomic. Turned Vecamia Into a 132 Billion ISK Junkyard

Somewhere in the middle of a 48-minute fight in Vecamia, the most expensive thing on the field was not a dreadnought. It was a battleship. The CONCORD Marshal that died in Genesis cost just over 50.9 billion ISK on its own - more than the Phoenix, the Revelation and the Revelation Navy Issue that also died in the same system, added together. Twelve capitals burned in Vecamia on the way to a 132 billion ISK total. Only one of the losses was a battleship, and it is the one everyone will remember.
