Vargur Ambushed and Crushed in J113449

A 2.5 billion ISK Vargur was torn apart in J113449 after Die Verval. caught Snuffed Out pilot Kyzavrik in a brief but costly encounter that left the Marauder wrecked and its cargo partly scattered across the field.

THE CATCH

The engagement in J113449 was over almost as soon as it began, but the price was anything but small. Kyzavrik’s Vargur, flown for Snuffed Out’s The Stone Garden, became the focal point of a five-pilot clash that ended with Die Verval. claiming the final blow. In a wormhole system where every appearance is a risk, a Marauder is never an easy ship to expose — and this one proved no exception to the cost of being caught.

THE BREAKDOWN

Apollo Viginn delivered the finishing damage in another Vargur, with Tat'yana also present among the attackers. The field suggests a very small, highly concentrated hunt rather than a prolonged fight, with only two attackers recorded against the target. That kind of pressure is often enough in wormhole space: once a heavy ship loses control of range, support, or escape options, the margin for recovery can vanish quickly.

THE LOSSES

The Vargur accounted for the entire loss on the field, carrying a total value of 2.5 billion ISK. About 1.6 billion ISK was destroyed outright, while 962.6 million ISK was recovered as dropped loot. The wreck also sheds light on the ship’s recent fighting: Hail L, Barrage L, and Republic Fleet Phased Plasma L were destroyed, while Republic Fleet EMP L and Nanite Repair Paste survived in cargo, making the loss feel even more immediate and personal for the pilot.

THE SIGNIFICANCE

For Snuffed Out, the destruction of a Marauder in J113449 is the sort of setback that is hard to ignore, especially in a place where ships of that class are already operating on a knife edge. For Die Verval., it was a sharp, efficient strike — the kind of hunt that turns a fleeting contact into a multi-billion ISK prize. In wormhole space, that is often the entire story: one bad moment, one exposed hull, and a very expensive lesson.

Evermore Warriors Lose Ten as Eight Capitals Melt in Fifteen Minutes

At 02:06 UTC a Hurricane exploded in V2-GZS. Fourteen minutes later the last loss on the board was a capsule belonging to a Hounds of War. pilot, and the Kalevala Expanse had eight fewer capitals in it than it did a quarter of an hour earlier.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.
