The cruiser was finished by Admentus Dragon’s Proteus, but the damage had already been done by a much larger source of fire, suggesting the target was trapped and steadily worn down before the final shot landed.

THE CATCH

The fight in J130247 was over almost as soon as it began. What the data shows is a small engagement — seven participants, one ship lost — but the value at stake was anything but small. Sergey Buhanow’s Tengu, flying for THE RUSSIA through Russian Wanderers, became the target of Fortuna Alliance’s Island Assault Force, with the encounter closing around him in a single moment rather than unfolding into a prolonged chase.

THE PRESSURE

The destruction points to a concentrated burst of force rather than a clean duel. Admentus Dragon’s Proteus delivered the final blow, but a Wakeful Sentry Tower accounted for the largest share of the damage, which may indicate the Tengu was caught under environmental or positional pressure before Fortuna’s ships could finish the job. Alongside the Proteus, a Legion and a Curse were present in the attacking group, enough to suggest a compact hunting force built to pin down a valuable target in wormhole space.

THE LOSS

When the cruiser finally went down, it left behind a split of losses and salvage that tells its own story. Roughly 934.6 million ISK was destroyed with 508.8 million ISK dropped, while heavy assault missile stocks, sleeper data materials, and nanite repair paste were scattered or lost in the wreck. The Tengu’s fittings and cargo suggest a ship prepared for extended operations, which makes its sudden destruction all the more costly for its pilot and corporation.

WHY IT MATTERS

This was not a fleet battle, but it did not need to be. A lone strategic cruiser is a dangerous ship to lose anywhere, and in wormhole space every mistake tends to become expensive very quickly. For Fortuna Alliance, the kill is a clean prize; for THE RUSSIA, it is a reminder that even well-equipped vessels can be erased fast when a small hunting group gets the timing right.
