Rattlesnake Cut Down in Y-ORBJ Ambush

A Brave United Rattlesnake worth 1.5 billion ISK was caught and destroyed in Y-ORBJ, with Unchained Alliance and unidentified attackers combining pressure in a fight that appears to have closed quickly and violently around the Caldari battleship.

THE CATCH

The ship at the centre of the fight was a Rattlesnake flown by Loslauer of Brave United’s Brave Empire Inc. In a system where only a narrow window of combat seems to have unfolded, the battleship found itself facing a concentrated attack that left little room for recovery. The final blow came from Eylise Guildfire in a Nemesis, but the damage trail suggests this was a coordinated hunt rather than a lone strike.

THE PRESSURE BUILDS

Unchained Alliance accounted for the named attackers on the field, fielding a mix that included a Widow and multiple stealth bombers alongside the Nemesis that landed the finishing hit. An additional Gist Cherubim appears among the attackers as an unaligned presence, adding another layer to a fight that already had 19 participants tied to it. The scale points to a tense skirmish rather than a prolonged fleet action, but the concentration of fire was enough to overwhelm a ship built to endure.

THE LOSSES

The Rattlesnake’s destruction accounted for 1.5 billion ISK in total value, with about 1.2 billion ISK destroyed and 224 million ISK recovered from the wreck. Among the cargo and fittings was a heavy stock of Caldari Navy Scourge Cruise Missiles, most of them lost in the blast. That kind of ammunition load suggests the ship was prepared for action, which only sharpens the sting of losing it before it could make that readiness count.

WHY IT MATTERS

A battleship loss on this scale is never trivial, especially when it comes down to a fast strike in hostile company. For Brave United, the destruction of a Rattlesnake in Y-ORBJ is a reminder that even heavily armed hulls can be pinned down and erased when hunters find the right moment. For Unchained Alliance, the kill is a clean example of pressure applied with the tools to finish the job.

Rattini Tribe Topped Amamake's Kills and Its Losses

At 22:01 UTC the first wreck of the night was a Slasher, a frigate so cheap it barely registers as a rounding error in a system like Amamake. Nearly four hours later, at 01:59, a Hecate stopped burning and the shooting finally trailed off. In between, Heimatar's most notorious lowsec system swallowed a Titan, a supercarrier, thirty-three capitals and somewhere in the region of 12.2 trillion ISK of everything else. The final tally: 1,705 ships destroyed, roughly 44,900 pilots credited across the killmails, and one alliance sitting proudly at the top of both the kill column and the loss column.

Evermore Warriors Lose Ten as Eight Capitals Melt in Fifteen Minutes

At 02:06 UTC a Hurricane exploded in V2-GZS. Fourteen minutes later the last loss on the board was a capsule belonging to a Hounds of War. pilot, and the Kalevala Expanse had eight fewer capitals in it than it did a quarter of an hour earlier.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.
