A 1.7 billion ISK Praxis was brought down in 4-43BW after a small group closed in on the ship and wore it down under fire from multiple angles. The loss, attributed to Goonswarm Federation pilots on both sides of the engagement data, ended with lauratios landing the final blow and leaving Bloodydu’s cruiser-sized brawler wrecked in space.

THE CATCH

The fight in 4-43BW appears to have been brief but decisive. Five participants were recorded in the engagement, with four attackers applying pressure to Bloodydu’s Praxis. What makes the loss stand out is not just the price tag, but the way the ship was caught with a mix of heavy fire and close-range utility damage from several Praxis hulls around it.

THE BREAK

The Praxis was no ordinary throwaway hull. Its fittings suggest a committed, heavily invested setup, with Republic Fleet and Domination smartbombs, a Republic Fleet large cap battery, a True Sansha capacitor power relay, and a Cap Recharger II among the items exposed in the destruction. That kind of fitting points to a ship intended to stay in the fight, but it instead ran out of room to maneuver once the attackers had control of the engagement.

THE LOSSES

By the end, 1.3 billion ISK worth of the ship and fittings was destroyed, while 399.4 million ISK in cargo and modules dropped from the wreck. The final blow came from lauratios flying a Praxis, with admpat and Laurira also contributing damage. An additional attacker listed as an Angel Dreadnought appears in the report as an unaligned participant, adding an unusual note to an otherwise compact skirmish.

WHY IT MATTERS

Single-ship losses of this size are memorable because they turn a short encounter into an expensive mistake. In a system like 4-43BW, a coordinated catch only has to happen once for a valuable hull to disappear. For Bloodydu and Asteroid Farm Unlimited, the result was immediate and costly; for the attackers, it was a clean prize taken from a ship that seems to have been built to survive longer than it did.
