Paladin Lost in Thashkarai After Sudden Solo Ambush

A Paladin worth 2.9 billion ISK was destroyed in Thashkarai after an apparently isolated encounter with an unaligned attacker flying a Pithatis Enforcer. The ship belonged to Talion Starzise of Congregation of Magiks and appears to have been caught in a brief, decisive ambush that left no room for escape.

THE CATCH

The fight in Thashkarai was over almost as soon as it began. With only two pilots recorded in the engagement, the Paladin stood alone against a single attacker whose ship was identified as a Pithatis Enforcer. The outcome suggests a fast interception rather than a drawn-out brawl, with the battleship-class hull giving ground to concentrated pressure before it could get clear.

THE FALL OF THE PALADIN

Talion Starzise’s Paladin was the clear centrepiece of the loss. The Marauder-class ship is an expensive and dangerous platform when properly supported, but in this case it was exposed enough to be overwhelmed. The final blow was delivered by an unknown attacker in the Pithatis Enforcer, who is credited with the destruction after inflicting 267,242 damage.

WHAT WAS LOST

The wreckage left behind shows how costly the encounter was. Around 1.6 billion ISK was destroyed with a further 1.2 billion ISK dropped, bringing the total value of the loss to 2.9 billion ISK. Among the notable cargo and fittings were ammunition and drones for extended combat, including Scorch L, Conflagration L, Acolyte II, and Inferno Heavy Assault Missile loads, suggesting the ship was armed and prepared for serious fighting before it was pinned down.

WHY IT MATTERS

For Congregation of Magiks, the loss of a Paladin in a single encounter is the sort of setback that is both expensive and memorable. For the attacker, it was a clean prize taken by a lone hunter rather than a fleet. In a region where high-value ships can disappear in moments, Thashkarai has added another reminder that even a heavily armed Marauder can become vulnerable the instant it is isolated.

ChuangShi Parked 234 Ships in P-ZMZV. Can't park there m8 Noticed.

The first confirmed loss in P-ZMZV wasn't a ship. At 13:49 the opening entry on the killboard is a capsule - a pilot's escape pod, logged and destroyed. The last entry, some two and a half hours later, is an Osprey Navy Issue flown for Black Layer Syndicate. In between, the system swallowed 581 losses and roughly 1.77 trillion ISK, and when the shooting finally stopped, one side was still out there sweeping the grid for pods.

Rattini Tribe Topped Amamake's Kills and Its Losses

At 22:01 UTC the first wreck of the night was a Slasher, a frigate so cheap it barely registers as a rounding error in a system like Amamake. Nearly four hours later, at 01:59, a Hecate stopped burning and the shooting finally trailed off. In between, Heimatar's most notorious lowsec system swallowed a Titan, a supercarrier, thirty-three capitals and somewhere in the region of 12.2 trillion ISK of everything else. The final tally: 1,705 ships destroyed, roughly 44,900 pilots credited across the killmails, and one alliance sitting proudly at the top of both the kill column and the loss column.

Evermore Warriors Lose Ten as Eight Capitals Melt in Fifteen Minutes

At 02:06 UTC a Hurricane exploded in V2-GZS. Fourteen minutes later the last loss on the board was a capsule belonging to a Hounds of War. pilot, and the Kalevala Expanse had eight fewer capitals in it than it did a quarter of an hour earlier.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.
