Pacifier Crashes in J112003 After Brief Ambush

A Goonswarm Federation Pacifier was destroyed in J112003 in a sharp, one-sided encounter that lasted only a moment but ended with a 1.4 billion ISK loss. The covert ops frigate, flown by Northwindtweak of Asteroid Farm Unlimited, was caught by an unidentified attacker in a Sleepless Keeper and stripped of much of its value before the hull broke apart.

THE CATCH

The fight in J112003 appears to have been over almost as soon as it began. With only two participants recorded, the encounter was less a fleet action than a precise interception: one Pacifier against a single hostile vessel waiting for the opportunity to strike. The result was decisive. Northwindtweak’s ship, a prized covert ops platform, was destroyed before any escape could turn the situation around.

THE LOSS

The Pacifier’s destruction carried more weight than a routine frigate kill. The ship represented a 1.4 billion ISK loss, with 603 million ISK destroyed outright and another 774.7 million ISK recovered as dropped value. Among the surviving debris were ammunition stocks and scanning equipment, while one Small Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer II was lost with the hull. For a vessel built around speed, stealth, and precision, the margin for error was razor-thin.

THE FINAL BLOW

The final blow came from an unknown attacker flying a Sleepless Keeper under the banner of Unaligned attackers. The lack of additional support suggests a lone hunter or small, opportunistic strike force rather than a formal engagement. That kind of kill carries its own message in New Eden: even highly mobile specialty ships can be pinned down long enough for a single shot to decide everything.

WHY IT MATTERS

For Goonswarm Federation, the loss of a Pacifier in a quiet wormhole system may not reshape a campaign, but it is still the sort of incident that reminds pilots how unforgiving isolated space can be. J112003 offered no room for reinforcements and no time for a clean getaway. In the end, the ship’s value, its fit, and its role all made the destruction memorable, even if the battle itself was brief.

Evermore Warriors Lose Ten as Eight Capitals Melt in Fifteen Minutes

At 02:06 UTC a Hurricane exploded in V2-GZS. Fourteen minutes later the last loss on the board was a capsule belonging to a Hounds of War. pilot, and the Kalevala Expanse had eight fewer capitals in it than it did a quarter of an hour earlier.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.
