A 1.5 billion ISK Occator was brought down in Josameto as four attackers from Novus Ordo. caught the industrial hauler and finished the job before it could escape. The loss stripped the Perkone pilot Spachtler of a heavily loaded transport and left little behind but wreckage and a scatter of salvage.

THE CATCH

The engagement was brief, but it was never small. Seven pilots converged in Josameto, and the target that mattered was the Occator flown by Spachtler of Perkone. It was a ship built to move value, and by the time Novus Ordo. closed in, it appears that value was already locked inside the hold rather than still safely elsewhere.

THE PRESSURE

Novus Ordo. committed four attackers to the kill, with zeary delivering the final blow in a Maller after yearb’s Oracle and supporting Mallers had already broken the hauler’s resolve. The spread of damage suggests a coordinated interception rather than a chance collision, with the attackers working quickly enough to prevent any meaningful escape from forming.

THE LOSSES

The Occator went down carrying more than the hull itself. Among the cargo destroyed were large quantities of compressed ore, including Kernite and Pyroxeres variants, along with camera drones and additional mined material that would not be recovered. Only a small amount of cargo appears to have been looted, leaving the bulk of the ship’s value destroyed with it.

WHY IT MATTERS

For a transport hull, the danger is never just the ship—it is what it is trusted to move. This loss in Josameto stands out because the destroyed value dwarfed what remained to be salvaged, turning a routine-looking haul into a costly failure. For Perkone, the wreck is a reminder that even well-built logistics ships can become prizes when they are caught at the wrong moment.
