For a capital ship, that is a dangerous place to be — exposed, outnumbered, and under fire from multiple directions.

THE BREAK

The destruction was not clean or immediate. More than 3.6 billion ISK in hull and fittings was lost, while 653.4 million ISK worth of equipment appears to have been recovered. The ship carried hydrogen isotopes and large stockpiles of Hail XL and Strontium Clathrates, suggesting it was fitted and fueled for serious action rather than left idle. Once the pressure settled in, the Naglfar never found the space it needed to pull free.

THE FINAL BLOW

MyHearTw1llgoOn, flying a Nighthawk for Benigno Numine, was credited with the final strike. The kill was not delivered by a capital on capital knife-fight, but by a smaller command ship landing the finishing damage after a mix of attackers had already done the hard work. That detail gives the loss a sharper edge: the dreadnought was not simply overwhelmed by raw size, but picked apart until a cruiser-scale support ship could close the account.

THE COST

At 4.3 billion ISK, the loss is significant on its own, but the greater weight lies in the ship type.
