The fight in SPLE-Y appears to have centered on a single high-value target: kingtut Tut’s Naglfar of L A Z E R H A W K S. The ship was destroyed in an engagement that ended almost as quickly as it began, with The Initiative. credited for the decisive pressure and a mixed field of attackers contributing to the destruction. A capsule was also lost, adding a final note of inevitability to the engagement once the capital had been stripped of its protection.
THE PRESSURE
The killing blow came from Tunani Ormand flying a Kikimora, but the damage was clearly a collective effort. Fifty-eight attackers are tied directly to the Naglfar’s destruction, and the presence of multiple Kikimoras suggests a fast, punishing attack group working inside the capital’s response window. An unaligned Infesting Interruptor Omicron also appears in the list of attackers, hinting that the skirmish may have drawn in more than one hostile element as the target was pinned down.
THE LOSSES
The Naglfar accounted for the bulk of the value in the fight, with 3.8 billion ISK destroyed and another 661.8 million ISK dropped. Its hold was stocked for serious combat: Barrage XL and Hail XL were among the munitions lost with or destroyed on the wreck, evidence of a dreadnought committed to the fight rather than a ship caught empty and idle. At 6 billion ISK total value across the exchange, this was an expensive outcome even by capital warfare standards.
THE CONSEQUENCE
For L A Z E R H A W K S, the loss of a Naglfar is more than a wreck on a ledger. A dreadnought exposed and destroyed so quickly in SPLE-Y suggests the defenders either misjudged the threat or were unable to extract the ship once it was committed. For The Initiative., the result is a sharp demonstration of reach and timing: a capital caught in the wrong moment can vanish before the pilot has any real chance to recover it.
