THE CATCH

The target was a Metenox Moon Drill belonging to Kinetic Diplomacy, operated by Aggressive.Negotiations., and it did not survive the encounter. What stands out is not simply the price tag, though 1.8 billion ISK is enough to make any structure loss sting, but the speed of the destruction: the fight began and ended at the same moment on the record, suggesting the drill was caught in a sudden, decisive strike rather than a drawn-out siege.

THE ASSAULT FORCE

The attacking side came under the banner of The Frog Boiler, with the final blow credited to Xanndros Yamato in a Widow from Deep Axion. The wider damage profile shows this was not a lone predator’s work. Additional pressure came from pilots in Redeemers and a Hel, with attackers drawn from several organizations including Honorable Third Party and PURPLE HELMETED WARRIORS. In total, 11 participants were recorded, and six attackers were involved in the decisive destruction of the structure.

THE COLLAPSE

The drill failed hard under concentrated fire. Of the total value lost, 1.3 billion ISK was destroyed outright, while 426.8 million ISK appears to have been recovered or dropped. The loss of industrial material tells the story in miniature: Magmatic Gas and Mercury were consumed in the wreckage, while Atmospheric Gases and Nitrogen Fuel Blocks were among the items that escaped destruction. It is the sort of outcome that leaves a hole not only in assets, but in whatever operation had been tied to the structure.

For Kinetic Diplomacy, the loss is more than a single expensive hull-equivalent structure going up in smoke. Metenox Moon Drills are high-value industrial assets, and once one is exposed to a coordinated strike, there is very little room for recovery.
