THE CATCH
The fight in L-POLO ran for just under twelve minutes, but it was long enough to turn a high-value industrial asset into wreckage. The Metenox Moon Drill, flown by an unidentified pilot of Get Off My Lawn’s LAWN HC, was the standout loss of the engagement and the clear prize on the field. With a total reported value of 2.6 billion ISK across the exchange, the structure’s destruction accounted for the biggest share of the damage and the sharpest consequence.
THE BREAKTHROUGH
Brotherhood of Spacers committed seven attackers to the final blow, but the damage suggests this was no simple finishing pass. Mikiyama Schnimura’s Nyx delivered the last strike, while Creative Alt Name’s Hel also put serious damage into the target. Three Redeemers added pressure from covert positions, implying a coordinated attack that kept the drill pinned long enough for the capitals to close the account. The presence of a Nyx and a Hel on the same field signals an escalation few industrial targets can survive for long.
WHAT FELL AWAY
The aftermath makes clear what was at stake. The drill was carrying and processing substantial material, including Magmatic Gas and Mercury, while large quantities of Chromium, Cobalt, and Evaporite Deposits were destroyed with the structure. The split between what dropped and what burned only deepens the loss for Get Off My Lawn: part of the value escaped into space, but a significant amount was consumed with the wreck. For a moon mining operation, that is the kind of blow that is felt immediately and then for some time after.
WHY IT MATTERS
Single-structure losses rarely tell the whole story, but this one points to a successful and deliberate hunt in a contested pocket of space. Brotherhood of Spacers did not need a long campaign to make the point; they only needed one exposed moment and enough force to exploit it. For Get Off My Lawn, the destruction of a Metenox Moon Drill in L-POLO is an expensive interruption and a reminder that even industrial infrastructure can become a battlefield target the moment a hostile fleet gets close enough to land the knife.
