THE CATCH

The loss happened almost as soon as it began. In the wormhole system of J102749, Cloud-castle’s capsule was caught and destroyed in a fight involving just four participants, with the engagement ending at the same moment it started. The attacker side was represented by Pathog3n, with Show Nothing in a Loki credited for the final blow.

THE PRIZE

What made the destruction sting was not the hull itself, but what was inside it. The pod carried a full set of mid-grade Virtue implants — Beta, Delta, and Omega among them — alongside Poteque 'Prospector' astrometric hardwiring. Those fittings suggest a capsule prepared for scanning and probing work, and their loss pushed the total value of the destruction to 2.3 billion ISK.

THE BREAK

With only one attacker credited for the killing damage, the encounter suggests a precise strike rather than a prolonged exchange. The capsule had no room to absorb the mistake once it was exposed, and the destruction of a pod with this kind of implant suite usually leaves little time for a response. In practical terms, the fight ended the moment Pathog3n found its target.

THE LOSSES

For Skyline-StarrySea, the ship loss was only a capsule on paper, but in EVE a pod like this can represent far more than its hull. The implants destroyed with Cloud-castle likely made the loss far more painful than the empty shell would indicate, and the unpriced dropped value means the final cost may have been even less forgiving than the headline figure suggests.
