THE HIT

The ship at the centre of the incident was a Jackdaw flown by krassid of Center for Advanced Studies. It was destroyed in Jita at 08:11:42 UTC, with Ligii in a Tornado of State War Academy credited with the final blow. The engagement appears to have been small and local, but the result was anything but routine: the Jackdaw represented the bulk of the 1.5 billion ISK in losses.

THE EXCHANGE

Only four pilots are listed around the fight, suggesting a brief encounter rather than a prolonged clash. That kind of setting leaves little room for recovery once a target is caught. The Tornado’s damage was decisive, and the Jackdaw did not survive long enough to turn the engagement into an escape attempt or a drawn-out brawl.

THE COST

The wreckage left behind a heavily damaged result for the victim’s side: about 1.1 billion ISK was destroyed, with only 394.3 million ISK recovered. Among the items lost or destroyed were Triglavian Survey Databases, Zero-Point Condensate, Crystalline Isogen-10, Nanite Repair Paste, and Broken Drone Transceivers — the kind of fittings and cargo that make the loss feel larger than a hull alone.
