Golem Lost in a Fast Ambush in V8W-QS

A lone Golem was caught and destroyed in V8W-QS in a brief 1.9 billion ISK strike that left Insidious. nursing a heavy and sudden loss. The attack appears to have come from an unaligned hunter flying a Guristas Fleet Stronghold, with the pirate battleship finishing the job before the missile boat could escape.

THE CATCH

The fight in V8W-QS was over almost as soon as it began. Canon Kion’s Golem, flown for Insidious. and Knights of the Dark Rose, was destroyed in a one-on-one encounter that suggests a targeted interception rather than a drawn-out engagement. With only two participants recorded, there was little room for rescue, repositioning, or second chances.

THE FINAL BLOW

The killing blow came from an unusual attacker: a Guristas Fleet Stronghold piloted by an unknown combatant aligned with the unaligned attackers. That ship credited 39,093 damage, enough to break the Golem before it could survive the encounter. The choice of hull hints at a hunt that was prepared for more than a standard skirmish, and the outcome shows the target was overwhelmed before the exchange could turn.

THE LOSSES

The destroyed Golem accounted for the heart of the loss, with 1.2 billion ISK destroyed and a further 696.7 million ISK dropped. The cargo and fittings tell part of the story as well: thousands of Guristas Scourge Torpedoes were lost with the ship, along with Scourge Rage Torpedoes and Caldari Navy Scourge Torpedoes split between destruction and drop. For a marauder-class hull, every missed escape carries a steep price.

WHY IT MATTERS

Even a single-ship loss can matter when the hull is as valuable as a Golem. This kind of ambush does not redraw a map, but it does underline how exposed expensive ships can be when they are isolated. For Insidious., the loss is a costly reminder that in New Eden, a brief moment of vulnerability can erase a very expensive advantage.

Rattini Tribe Topped Amamake's Kills and Its Losses

At 22:01 UTC the first wreck of the night was a Slasher, a frigate so cheap it barely registers as a rounding error in a system like Amamake. Nearly four hours later, at 01:59, a Hecate stopped burning and the shooting finally trailed off. In between, Heimatar's most notorious lowsec system swallowed a Titan, a supercarrier, thirty-three capitals and somewhere in the region of 12.2 trillion ISK of everything else. The final tally: 1,705 ships destroyed, roughly 44,900 pilots credited across the killmails, and one alliance sitting proudly at the top of both the kill column and the loss column.

Evermore Warriors Lose Ten as Eight Capitals Melt in Fifteen Minutes

At 02:06 UTC a Hurricane exploded in V2-GZS. Fourteen minutes later the last loss on the board was a capsule belonging to a Hounds of War. pilot, and the Kalevala Expanse had eight fewer capitals in it than it did a quarter of an hour earlier.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.
