A 3 billion ISK Draugur was brought down in V-3YG7 after a compact but dangerous five-ship strike from Sigma Grindset caught the small hull under pressure and finished the job before it could escape. The loss left much of the ship’s fittings destroyed or scattered, turning a single tackle into a costly wreck for NO NEED LOOSE FACE.

THE CATCH

The fight in V-3YG7 was brief, but it was anything but routine. Eleven pilots were involved in the engagement, yet the decisive moment belonged to Sigma Grindset, who committed a five-ship element that included a Barghest, two Harbinger Navy Issues, a Cyclone Fleet Issue, and the Draugur itself as the final blow ship. Against that kind of pressure, the target had little room to breathe.

THE BREAK

The destroyed hull belonged to Avinadav of NO NEED LOOSE FACE, flying for Make-EVE-Great-Again. The ship collapsed under concentrated damage, with final damage landing from AmoriA in a Draugur. That the finishing blow came from the same ship class suggests the engagement was close enough for the target to be held in place and worn down rather than simply erased from range.

THE PRICE OF THE HOLD

The value of the loss reached 3 billion ISK, with 1.7 billion ISK destroyed outright and another 1.3 billion ISK dropping into the wreck. The fittings tell their own story: almost 2,000 Occult S rounds were recovered, while a large quantity of Meson Exotic Plasma S was burned away. Alongside the ammunition, nearly a thousand Baryon Exotic Plasma S, a similar stock of Tetryon Exotic Plasma S, and more than 900 units of Nanite Repair Paste were among the supplies carried into the fight.

WHY IT MATTERS

Single-loss encounters like this rarely change a region on their own, but they do show how quickly an expensive hull can be trapped and broken when the wrong moment opens up. For Sigma Grindset, the kill is a clean, expensive prize. For NO NEED LOOSE FACE, it is a reminder that even a compact ship can become a very large loss when caught at the wrong time in the wrong place.
