Charon Caught and Cut Down in 4-HWWF Ambush

A Fraternity. Charon hauling through 4-HWWF was intercepted and destroyed in a swift attack attributed to The Initiative., turning an apparently routine transit into a 4 billion ISK loss. The freighter’s destruction left behind only a fraction of its cargo and a sharp reminder that even heavy industry ships are vulnerable when hunted by the right force at the right moment.

THE CATCH

The Charon, flown by lanlan cheng of Fraternity.'s Spark Fleet, was caught in 4-HWWF on June 4 and did not get away. The ship’s size and cargo made it a conspicuous prize, and the engagement suggests a deliberate interception rather than a chance encounter. With 63 participants involved overall, the scene points to a trap that closed quickly around a high-value target.

THE HAMMER FALLS

The final blow came from Feronanthus in a Redeemer, one of several covert hulls applying pressure to the freighter. The attackers included a 34-ship contingent tied to The Initiative., with additional damage from pilots linked to Ranger Regiment. The presence of multiple Redeemers indicates a coordinated strike built to overwhelm any hope of escape before the freighter could be rescued or reinforced.

THE LOSSES

The Charon was destroyed for a reported total value of 4 billion ISK, with about 3.5 billion ISK in hull and fittings lost and just over 503 million ISK recovered. Cargo and fittings tell the story of a ship in motion rather than a fighting platform: 627 units of Void S, 10 Expanded Cargohold II modules, and a supply of Nanite Repair Paste were among the items caught up in the wreck. Several additional assets, including Praxis hulls and Light Electron Blaster IIs, were destroyed outright.

THE CONSEQUENCE

For Fraternity., the loss is significant less for the spectacle than for what it says about exposure in hostile space: a freighter that might have looked routine became an expensive opportunity for hunters waiting in the dark. For The Initiative. and its allies, the kill reads as a clean interception and a reminder that logistics in New Eden can become combat the moment a route is watched closely enough.

ChuangShi Parked 234 Ships in P-ZMZV. Can't park there m8 Noticed.

The first confirmed loss in P-ZMZV wasn't a ship. At 13:49 the opening entry on the killboard is a capsule - a pilot's escape pod, logged and destroyed. The last entry, some two and a half hours later, is an Osprey Navy Issue flown for Black Layer Syndicate. In between, the system swallowed 581 losses and roughly 1.77 trillion ISK, and when the shooting finally stopped, one side was still out there sweeping the grid for pods.

Rattini Tribe Topped Amamake's Kills and Its Losses

At 22:01 UTC the first wreck of the night was a Slasher, a frigate so cheap it barely registers as a rounding error in a system like Amamake. Nearly four hours later, at 01:59, a Hecate stopped burning and the shooting finally trailed off. In between, Heimatar's most notorious lowsec system swallowed a Titan, a supercarrier, thirty-three capitals and somewhere in the region of 12.2 trillion ISK of everything else. The final tally: 1,705 ships destroyed, roughly 44,900 pilots credited across the killmails, and one alliance sitting proudly at the top of both the kill column and the loss column.

Evermore Warriors Lose Ten as Eight Capitals Melt in Fifteen Minutes

At 02:06 UTC a Hurricane exploded in V2-GZS. Fourteen minutes later the last loss on the board was a capsule belonging to a Hounds of War. pilot, and the Kalevala Expanse had eight fewer capitals in it than it did a quarter of an hour earlier.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.
