Cerberus Lost in Sudden Solo Ambush in AD123

A Brave Collective Cerberus worth 1.4 billion ISK was destroyed in AD123 in a swift one-on-one engagement, ending with the heavy assault cruiser broken by an attacker flying an Unstable Abyssal Depths hull. The fight was brief, but the loss was not: more than 760 million ISK was destroyed outright, with another 595.7 million ISK recovered in drops.

THE CATCH

The engagement in AD123 appears to have been a clean interception rather than a drawn-out fight. Only two pilots were involved, and the Brave Collective Cerberus flown by MADRICO was the sole casualty. For a ship built to hit hard and stay mobile, being isolated at the wrong moment is often enough to turn a dangerous cruiser into an expensive wreck.

THE BLOW

The final blow came from an unknown attacker flying an Unstable Abyssal Depths ship, an unusual and unsettling detail that suggests the victim may have been caught by something far less conventional than a standard roaming cruiser. The Cerberus did not survive the exchange, and its fitted supplies tell the story of a vessel prepared for action: heavy assault missiles, repair paste, and other combat stores were on board when it was destroyed.

THE LOSSES

The ship’s 1.4 billion ISK value makes this a costly personal loss even by New Eden standards. Roughly 763.9 million ISK was destroyed, while 595.7 million ISK dropped from the wreck. Among the items lost were Zero-Point Condensate and Nanite Repair Paste, while large stockpiles of Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Assault Missiles and Scourge Rage Heavy Assault Missiles were among the materials recovered by the victor.

WHY IT MATTERS

Single-ship losses like this rarely reshape a region, but they do underline how quickly a high-value cruiser can be erased when it is caught alone. For Brave Collective, the destruction of a Cerberus is a reminder that expensive doctrine ships remain vulnerable to opportunistic hunters, especially when the attacker comes from an unexpected angle and the fight is over before support can arrive.

Evermore Warriors Lose Ten as Eight Capitals Melt in Fifteen Minutes

At 02:06 UTC a Hurricane exploded in V2-GZS. Fourteen minutes later the last loss on the board was a capsule belonging to a Hounds of War. pilot, and the Kalevala Expanse had eight fewer capitals in it than it did a quarter of an hour earlier.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.
