For a citadel, the margin for error is never large; once the attack is on, every cycle counts.
THE PRESSURE
Hard Knocks Citizens committed at least 15 attackers to the kill, with Leshaks doing the heavy lifting throughout the final phase. Pielars delivered the final blow in a Leshak after 500,578 damage, but the work had already been spread across several ships: Protossimba Onren, Professor Partyboi, chistoi pribyli, and Devzej all piled on substantial damage. The pattern suggests a coordinated battering rather than a lucky strike, with the Astrahus absorbing sustained fire until it could no longer stand.
THE LOSSES
The citadel’s destruction was worth 3.3 billion ISK in total, with 1.3 billion ISK destroyed outright and 2 billion ISK recovered as drops. The wreck left behind a familiar mix of infrastructure stock and ammunition: helium fuel blocks, Standup Cruise Missiles, Standup Light Missiles, and Standup Gram I components among the items recovered. Even when much of the cargo survives, the loss of a freeport structure is a severe blow in its own right.
THE CONSEQUENCE
For Wormlife, the destruction of the Astrahus marks the collapse of a defended position in a system that rarely forgives hesitation. For Hard Knocks Citizens, it is another sharp demonstration of force in wormhole space: a focused attack, a capital-grade target, and a clean finish from the brawl ships that got close enough to end it. In J122503, the citadel did not get the breathing room it needed, and the attackers made sure of that.
