Apocalypse Torn Apart in SLVP-D as Goonswarm Guns Close In

A Goonswarm Federation Apocalypse was destroyed in SLVP-D in a 1.4 billion ISK loss that appears to have come together quickly and at close range. The ship, flown by Diva3 of Peoples Liberation Army, was caught in a mixed engagement involving at least eight participants, with the final blow landing from another Goonswarm Apocalypse flown by Diva2.

THE CATCH

The fight in SLVP-D ended with a single costly ship in flames, but the presence of multiple attackers suggests the target was not alone for long. What began as a local engagement quickly turned into a focused takedown, with Goonswarm Federation accounting for the bulk of the pressure and the final destruction.

THE FIREPOWER

The dead ship was itself an Apocalypse, and the losing fit hints at a brawler built to stay in the fight: a Domination Large Proton Smartbomb, a Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery, a Capacitor Power Relay II, and a Large Capacitor Control Circuit I were among the modules lost or destroyed. That kind of equipment makes the wreck expensive, but it also suggests the ship was intended for sustained combat rather than a quick escape.

THE BREAK

Diva2, also flying an Apocalypse, delivered the final blow after Goonswarm attackers Diva4 and Diva5 had already applied heavy damage. An unidentified Gist Seraphim and a Bellicose flown by TS K of Siege Green. were also present among the attackers, adding to the sense that the target was isolated under converging fire rather than facing a clean one-on-one.

THE LOSSES

The immediate cost was steep: 841.9 million ISK destroyed and another 601.7 million ISK recovered from the wreck, for a total loss of 1.4 billion ISK. For Diva3 and Peoples Liberation Army, the destruction of a battleship in a small fight is the kind of setback that is felt at once, both in material terms and in the simple fact that the ship did not get away.

Rattini Tribe Topped Amamake's Kills and Its Losses

At 22:01 UTC the first wreck of the night was a Slasher, a frigate so cheap it barely registers as a rounding error in a system like Amamake. Nearly four hours later, at 01:59, a Hecate stopped burning and the shooting finally trailed off. In between, Heimatar's most notorious lowsec system swallowed a Titan, a supercarrier, thirty-three capitals and somewhere in the region of 12.2 trillion ISK of everything else. The final tally: 1,705 ships destroyed, roughly 44,900 pilots credited across the killmails, and one alliance sitting proudly at the top of both the kill column and the loss column.

Evermore Warriors Lose Ten as Eight Capitals Melt in Fifteen Minutes

At 02:06 UTC a Hurricane exploded in V2-GZS. Fourteen minutes later the last loss on the board was a capsule belonging to a Hounds of War. pilot, and the Kalevala Expanse had eight fewer capitals in it than it did a quarter of an hour earlier.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.
