The ship, flown by Raven Kautsuo of Coffey Industries, was destroyed in a brief engagement that appears to have been carried out by a lone Tornado pilot from Safety., with Jon Ogden landing the final blow.

THE CATCH

The loss unfolded in Jita at 03:17 UTC, when the Tayra was caught and destroyed in a fight involving just four pilots. For a hauler, that sort of moment is brutal: one mistake, one exposed route, and a ship built for moving goods becomes an expensive shell in seconds.

THE STRIKE

The decisive damage came from Jon Ogden, flying a Tornado for Safety., whose volley ended the Tayra’s run. The attack suggests a clean, opportunistic hit rather than a drawn-out engagement. Against a ship like the Tayra, speed and timing matter more than endurance, and this one appears to have been denied both.

THE LOSSES

The destruction amounted to 4.9 billion ISK in losses, while only 3.8 million ISK in cargo and fittings appears to have survived the blast. Among the items lost or recovered were Expanded Cargohold II modules, Medium Shield Extender II modules, an Auto Targeting System II, and a Civilian Shield Booster that did not make it out at all.
