THE CATCH
The engagement appears to have been brief but decisive. In a system where even a high-value cruiser can turn into a dangerous prize if left exposed for a moment, Safety. closed on QsHsNation Estidal’s Zealot with three destroyers and finished the job before the target could slip away.
THE KILL
The attack came from Jinx Beirut, Aiko Danuja, and Alleil Pollard, all flying Coercers for Safety. Together they put enough pressure on the Zealot to break it in place, with Jinx Beirut credited with the final blow. The ship’s fittings and cargo suggest it was carrying more than routine combat gear, including Scorch M, Conflagration M, Agitated Electrical Filaments, Zero-Point Condensate, and a Triglavian Survey Database.
THE LOSSES
The Zealot itself accounted for the bulk of the damage, with 187.2 million ISK destroyed and 1.1 billion ISK dropped from the wreck. That kind of split makes the aftermath especially painful: much of the ship’s value survived long enough to be recovered by the attackers, turning the loss into a particularly costly one for Imperial Academy.
WHY IT MATTERS
For a lone cruiser to be erased this quickly, the message is less about fleet scale than about exposure. Even a compact hunting group can extract a major price when a valuable hull is caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, and this kill leaves Imperial Academy with a conspicuous loss while Safety. adds another expensive mark to its hunt in Irnin.
