A Fraternity Auxiliary Widow worth 2.2 billion ISK was destroyed in P3EN-E after a 41-pilot clash that quickly turned into a focused hunt. The black ops battleship, flown by Li Shunsheng of The Shattered Legions, was finished off by VoodooWarrior in a Purifier as Seker Matar and several allied pilots pressed the attack.

THE CATCH

The engagement in P3EN-E came down to a single expensive target that never managed to slip free. A Widow is built to operate from the shadows, but in this case the covert-ops framework seems to have worked against it: once the ship was exposed, it drew immediate attention from a mixed group of attackers already on grid and ready to commit.

THE PRESSURE

The damage spread across 23 attackers on the final blow record, with Seker Matar joined by pilots flying under several other organizations, including The Initiative., Ivy League, and others. The attackers leaned heavily on covert ships such as Purifiers and Nemeses, a composition that suggests a coordinated ambush rather than a casual skirmish. The Widow’s fittings tell the same story — isotope fuel, torpedoes, and heavy ordnance were caught in the violence as the ship broke apart.

THE BREAK

VoodooWarrior delivered the finishing hit in a Purifier, but the final blow was only the end of a broader collapse. By the time the Widow went down, 1.9 billion ISK had already been destroyed and only 334.7 million ISK worth of material managed to escape in the wreckage. The loss also erased large stocks of isotopes and torpedoes, underlining how much had been committed to keeping the ship ready for action.

THE COST

For Fraternity Auxiliary, the loss of a Widow is the kind of event that is hard to treat as routine.
