Vindicator Caught and Cut Down in Gulmorogod

A 4.5 billion ISK Vindicator was brought down in Gulmorogod after a 12-ship attack closed around Baltrom of The Congregation. The blaster battleship was struck by a mixed group led by Out of the Blue., with the final blow credited to ppx-t1 in a Stabber Fleet Issue.

THE HUNT CLOSES

What began as a single high-value loss quickly revealed a compact but determined hunt. Baltrom’s Vindicator was the obvious prize: a heavy-hitting battleship carrying enough firepower and ammunition to make it a costly target, and enough value to turn any interception into a headline. The engagement drew in 23 participants overall, but the destruction itself came from a focused 12-ship pressure on the target.

THE FIRE EXCHANGE

The attackers came from a mixed set of organizations, with Out of the Blue. named at the center of the strike and support fire arriving from groups including Wild Geese., Minmatar Fleet Alliance, and Tribal Liberation Force. Damage was spread across several hulls, but the cumulative effect was unmistakable: the Vindicator was under sustained fire from multiple angles, with fast ships and heavier brawlers working together to keep it pinned down long enough for the kill to land.

THE BREAK

ppx-t1’s Stabber Fleet Issue delivered the final blow, but the loss had clearly been decided before that moment. The wreck left behind a split cargo of ammunition, with Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L, Void L, and other turrets’ worth of firepower showing how much had been committed to the fight before the ship failed. The destroyed and dropped value also suggests a painful outcome: 3.3 billion ISK lost outright and another 1.2 billion ISK recovered from the field.

WHY IT MATTERS

For The Congregation, the loss of a Vindicator is never routine. It is the kind of ship that changes the tone of an encounter simply by appearing, and losing one in Gulmorogod gives the attackers a clear victory in both material and morale terms. For Out of the Blue. and its allies, the result suggests a successful catch in a contested pocket of space — the sort of disciplined interception that can reshape how pilots move through the area in the hours that follow.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Fifty-two point nine billion ISK, gone. One killmail. Eight hundred and forty-seven pilots on the record. Amamake has swallowed fleets, capitals, and more than a few alliances' sense of direction over the years. It has rarely swallowed 52.9 billion ISK in a single ship that was not even a capital. The victim was the Sarathiel, flying under the banner of Warlock Industries Alliance. The credited killer was Minmatar Fleet Associates. And every one of those 847 names belongs to the same kill.
