A Plenitude Alliance Torrent was caught and destroyed in Gheth in a fast, concentrated strike that left little room for escape. The ship’s loss, valued at roughly 3 billion ISK, came at the hands of Novus Ordo., with the final blow delivered by Don Gregorio flying a Purifier.

THE CATCH

The engagement in Gheth was over almost as soon as it began, but the scale of the loss gives it weight. A single Torrent, flown by Abd-al-Aziz of Plenitude Alliance’s Imperial Laboratories Ltd, was overwhelmed in a fight involving 17 participants and 8 attackers credited against the final destruction. For a ship worth this much, there was no margin for a mistake once Novus Ordo. got it in range.

THE STRIKE

The damage appears to have come from a compact and deliberate attack. Novus Ordo. committed a mix of Purifiers and a Gnosis, with Don Eustaquio, Don Anacleto, Don Eusebio, and Don Gregorio all pressing the target, while Don Gervasio added force in a Gnosis. Don Gregorio’s Purifier landed the final blow, ending the fight before the Torrent could be saved.

THE PRIZE

The destroyed ship account suggests this was more than a routine kill. Along with the Torrent itself, large quantities of fuel and ammunition were consumed or lost, including over 1.5 million Nitrogen Isotopes, more than 1.4 million Oxygen Isotopes, 100,000 Scourge Fury Light Missiles, and Acolyte II drones. Even where some cargo dropped, the total swing remained severe, with 2.7 billion ISK destroyed outright and only 361.4 million ISK recovered.
