THE CATCH
The engagement in Hatakani appears to have been a brief, local interception rather than a prolonged fight. Four pilots were involved overall, but the decisive blow came from a single KN CP attacker: Sunrise Naari in a Tornado. That lone strike was enough to break open the transport and bring down Aaeryn Silvermoon’s Iteron Mark V.
THE LOADOUT THAT DIDN’T MAKE IT
The loss was made heavier by what the industrial ship was carrying. Alongside the hull itself, the destruction included Warpath Operational Intel, Extended Capsuleer Day XXIII Cerebral Accelerators, and an Expanded Cargohold II, while only a small amount of cargo escaped the fire. The ship’s fittings and contents suggest the hauler was carrying more than a simple routine load, which makes the timing of the ambush sting all the more.
THE FINAL SHOT
Sunrise Naari, flying under the KN CP banner, landed the final blow and accounted for all of the damage recorded against the target. A Tornado is built for exactly this kind of moment: quick violence, immediate pressure, and no interest in a drawn-out exchange. In this case, it was enough to catch the Iteron Mark V before any meaningful escape could unfold.
THE LOSSES
The destroyed value reached 1.1 billion ISK, with just 2.9 million ISK reported as dropped loot. For Center for Advanced Studies pilot Aaeryn Silvermoon, the result was a costly reminder that even an industrial hull can become a prize when it is exposed at the wrong moment. In Hatakani, KN CP did not need a fleet to make the point; one attacker and one well-timed Tornado were enough.
