A 2.2 billion ISK Thunderchild was caught and destroyed in 7AH-SF as a small group from GoodNight2004 and associated attackers closed in on Admirall Kolchak’s ship. The heavy loss was concentrated in a single brutal exchange, with Denromas’s Vargur landing the final blow and leaving the Thunderchild wrecked before help could matter.

THE CATCH

The fight in 7AH-SF appears to have been brief, sharp, and decisive. Admirall Kolchak of Ignore This. lost a Thunderchild worth 2.2 billion ISK in an engagement involving just six participants, suggesting a tight interception rather than a drawn-out fleet brawl. With only three attackers credited on the decisive loss, the ship seems to have been isolated quickly and punished before it could disengage.

THE KILLING FIRE

Denromas, flying a Vargur for GoodNight2004, delivered the final blow after inflicting the bulk of the damage. An unaligned attacker in a Nova Light Missile also contributed to the destruction, which suggests the Thunderchild was under pressure from more than one angle. The presence of a Flycatcher pilot, Rybachok of Hamster Black, even with no recorded damage, may indicate a tackle or support role that helped hold the target in place long enough for the heavier guns to do their work.

THE LOSSES

The Thunderchild’s destruction split almost evenly between loss and salvage: 1.3 billion ISK was destroyed outright, while 903.8 million ISK dropped from the wreck. Several of the ship’s contents were shattered in the blast, including ElectroPunch Ultra L, StrikeSnipe Ultra L, and drone components. The result was not just the loss of a hull, but a substantial drain on fittings and supplies that went with it.

WHY IT MATTERS

For Ignore This. and the Intergalactic Brotherhood of Teamsters, the loss is a costly reminder of how exposed a valuable ship can be when the wrong contact turns into a trap. For GoodNight2004, it was a clean and expensive interception that converted a small local action into a multi-billion ISK prize. In a cluster where even short engagements can decide a pilot’s day, 7AH-SF added another heavy wreck to New Eden’s ledger.
