In Keri, that carrier was overwhelmed by a compact but determined group from PUT THE FRIES IN THE BAG, with 16 attackers contributing to the kill. The engagement appears to have been swift and concentrated, leaving little room for the carrier to trade space for survival.
THE PALADIN PRESSURE
The attackers' composition suggests a deliberate, high-damage approach. Vakkava Vanen Isayeki landed the final blow in a Paladin, while several other pilots in the same hull class — including Kuzonia, Fesopras, Saziras, and KhanPaso01 Mileghere — added sustained damage. That kind of uniform firepower can strip a capital apart quickly once it is pinned down, and the carrier's fate suggests the pressure never really let up.
THE LOSSES
The Thanatos was destroyed for a total value of 4.1 billion ISK, with 3.4 billion ISK lost outright and 748.7 million ISK recovered from the wreck. Among the cargo and fittings, large quantities of Oxygen Isotopes were destroyed, along with Navy Cap Booster 3200 charges that appear to have been partly lost and partly recovered. For Phoenix Naval Systems and Phoenix Naval Operations, it was a costly mistake measured in both the hull and the resources it carried.
WHY IT MATTERS
