A Fraternity. Thanatos was destroyed in MY-T2P after an 11-ship strike from Sparrow In Cage closed in on the carrier, turning a dangerous capital into a 3.6 billion ISK loss in a matter of moments.

THE CATCH

The carrier belonged to nana zhu of Fraternity.’s Stardust-Guardian corporation and was lost almost as soon as the engagement began, suggesting it was caught exposed in the MY-T2P system before escape or support could save it. Sparrow In Cage fielded the bulk of the attackers, with 11 credited to the kill, enough to bring a capital down before it could withstand the pressure.

THE BREAK

The final blow went to Heartache9 in a Purifier, a reminder that even a bomber can have the last word when a capital is already under strain. The damage spread across a mixed attack force that included a Widow and two Redeemers, while an unknown source accounting for Scourge Cruise Missile damage added to the pressure on the Thanatos.

THE LOSSES

By the time the carrier was wrecked, 3.3 billion ISK had been destroyed and only 320.7 million ISK in value reportedly dropped. Among the losses were a Capital Armor Repairer I, Fighter Support Unit II, Drone Damage Amplifier II modules, and a cache of 91,330 Oxygen Isotopes that did not survive the destruction. The ship itself, a Thanatos, accounted for nearly the entire encounter’s value and made this a costly hit for Fraternity.

WHY IT MATTERS

Single capital losses like this rarely read as routine. In MY-T2P, Sparrow In Cage appears to have found a brief opening and punished it hard, stripping a carrier from the field before the situation could be stabilized. For Fraternity., the loss is less about one ship and more about the kind of vulnerability that a hostile gang can exploit at capital scale.
