What should have been a routine transit or probe-through appears to have turned into a dangerous meeting with a hostile group already in position.
THE KILLING FIELD
The attackers came from more than one direction on the field. Vigilant Tyrannos, with Cassandra Tyrannos flying a Drifter Cruiser, took the final blow, while damage also came from an unidentified attacker in a Sansha’s Butcher tied to True Power and another unidentified Drifter Cruiser. That mix suggests the Tengu was not facing a simple one-on-one encounter, but a compact, opportunistic pile-on that quickly overwhelmed it.
THE BREAK
The Tengu did not go down cleanly with its cargo intact. Of the ship’s roughly 1 billion ISK value, 579.8 million ISK was destroyed and 460.3 million ISK was recovered, leaving behind a hard loss even after the surviving fittings and ammunition were pulled free. Among the wreckage were large numbers of Rage heavy assault missiles and a set of Sisters core scanner probes, hinting at a ship fitted for aggressive work and scanning duty rather than a disposable travel fit.
THE CONSEQUENCE
For Beyond Destruction, the loss of a Tengu is more than a simple ship kill: it is the removal of a versatile strategic cruiser and a painful hit in a small, fast-moving fight. For Vigilant Tyrannos and its allies on the grid, the result was a clean prize taken from a target worth far more than the brief exchange that destroyed it.
