THE CATCH
The engagement in C-LP3N was over as quickly as it began, but the result was anything but trivial. A single Tengu, a ship that seldom comes cheap to lose, was brought down in a local skirmish involving just two participants. The final blow came from an unknown attacker flying a Pithum Inferno, leaving the impression of a carefully placed ambush or a sudden opportunity seized before the target could escape.
THE LOSS
The destroyed Tengu accounted for 1.6 billion ISK in losses, with 402.5 million ISK in fittings and cargo recovered from the wreck. That still leaves a painful bill for Insidious. and its pilot, Muge Zh, whose ship carried a substantial missile load at the time of the attack. More than 5,700 Scourge Precision Heavy Missiles were recovered, while thousands of Scourge Fury Heavy Missiles were lost with the hull, underscoring just how heavily armed the cruiser was when it was caught.
THE HUNTER
The attacker’s identity remains unknown, but the damage done was decisive. Coming from a Pithum Inferno, the final blow points to a hunter that was able to finish the job without giving the target time to recover. In a region where even a brief lapse can turn into an expensive mistake, the kill appears to have been the product of patience, timing, and a clear opening at the right moment.
WHY IT MATTERS
A single cruiser loss rarely reshapes a region, but a Tengu destroyed for 2 billion ISK is the sort of event that players remember. It is a reminder that high-value ships remain vulnerable whenever they drift into the wrong system at the wrong time. In C-LP3N, that vulnerability was enough to turn one ship and one pilot into a neat, costly prize for an unseen attacker.
