The brief clash left no room for reinforcements or a drawn-out escape, ending with the strategic cruiser wrecked and more than 900 million ISK in fittings and cargo left behind.

THE CATCH

The fight in 5-P1Y2 appears to have been over almost as soon as it began. One Fraternity. pilot, SURReaL MIndLight of Gladiators of Rage, lost a Tengu to an unaligned attacker whose ship choice suggests this was not a casual encounter. The final blow came from an unknown pilot in a Pithatis Enforcer, with the attacker doing 8,998 damage to seal the kill.

THE LOSS

The Tengu was the clear prize of the encounter, carrying a total value of 2.1 billion ISK. Of that, 1.2 billion ISK was destroyed outright, while 906.8 million ISK dropped from the wreck. The loss of a strategic cruiser is always a sharp one, but the scale here makes it especially costly for the pilot and their organisation.

THE AMMUNITION TRAIL

The cargo and fittings hint at a heavily armed ship prepared for serious fighting. Rage and Javelin heavy assault missiles were among the items involved in the destruction, with some rounds lost and others recovered. That mix suggests the Tengu was carrying enough ammunition for a longer fight than the one it received.

THE CONSEQUENCE

With only two participants recorded, this was a small but decisive interception rather than a fleet action. Even so, the result is the kind of loss that matters in New Eden: expensive, immediate, and hard to ignore.
