For a ship of that size, being pinned long enough for a hostile group to bring pressure to bear is usually enough to turn a patrol into a disaster.
THE FIRE
The attackers came from The K-5 and associated forces, with the final blow delivered by N'ame He're in a Raven. The damage was not left to one ship alone: other significant attackers included Raven Navy Issue, Brutix Navy Issue, and additional Raven hulls from United Caldari Space Command and The Caldari Fourth District. That mix suggests the target was worked over by a coordinated group rather than a lone hunter, with enough applied fire to overwhelm the Tempest Fleet Issue before it could slip away.
THE LOSSES
The destruction was substantial even by New Eden standards. About 1 billion ISK was destroyed with a further 511.7 million ISK dropped, leaving the wreckage of a 1.5 billion ISK battlecruiser-sized prize behind.
