Great Wildlands Conservation Society, through Flames Of Chaos pilot pecofox, appears to have secured the decisive strike in a Vagabond. The cruiser’s speed and range make it a fitting weapon for a brief hunt like this, and the data suggests the Stratios was pressured hard enough that escape was never a realistic option. Only one attacker is tied to the final blow, but the result was emphatic: the ship was torn apart before support or reinforcements could change the outcome.
THE LOSSES
The Stratios itself was the prize, and a costly one to lose. Roughly 1.3 billion ISK was destroyed with another 242.1 million ISK recovered from the wreck, while the remaining value vanished with the ship. A handful of salvage and rig materials were scattered in the aftermath, but the larger story is the destruction of a highly valued cruiser rather than the contents it left behind.
THE SIGNIFICANCE
For NecroSphere. and Sol Ringen, the loss is more than a simple line item. A Stratios is an expensive and versatile vessel, and losing one to a swift single-pilot strike in low-number space suggests a moment of vulnerability that was exploited cleanly.
