On paper it was a single-ship loss, but the value tells the real story: a vessel with roughly 1 billion ISK attached to it, and a fitting that appears to have carried a substantial amount of expensive material. When Minmatar Fleet Alliance got its hands on it, the ship did not get the chance to fade away cleanly.
THE ATTACKERS CLOSE IN
Six attackers are listed on the final blow side, led by Jimm Holden in a Panther who landed the killing shot. He was backed by Archaic Blade and Patrick O'keefe in Redeemers, thebringer in a Sabre, and Chad VanGaalen in a Marshal. That mix suggests a deliberate hunting force rather than a casual roam: covert hulls for the approach, a Sabre for control, and enough firepower to make sure the Stormbringer would not slip free once contact was made.
THE BREAK
The damage came quickly and decisively. Jimm Holden’s Panther delivered the final blow after 4,195 damage, with the rest of the group contributing enough pressure to overwhelm the target before it could recover. The Stormbringer’s destruction left 748.6 million ISK in wreckage and another 298.8 million ISK in cargo and fittings that did not survive the blast. Among the debris were large quantities of GalvaSurge Condenser Pack M, along with drone-related components that underline how costly the ship’s loss was beyond the hull itself.
WHY IT MATTERS
For HOLD MY PROBS, this was more than the loss of a single battlecruiser-sized asset. A 1 billion ISK Stormbringer is the kind of ship that rewards confidence and punishes exposure, and B-2VXB proved how quickly that balance can collapse when hunters are already in position. Minmatar Fleet Alliance’s small strike force came away with a high-value prize, while the victim was left with a wreck field that was expensive even before the hull was counted.
