The cruiser’s final blow came from Otstarva Akkon flying a Curse, with Black Ribbit’s ships doing the bulk of the work around it.
THE PRESSURE
The attackers committed a compact but effective mix of hulls: Loki cruisers, a Curse, an Exequror Navy Issue, and even a Procurer among the damage dealers. That spread suggests the target was faced with a group built to maintain contact and keep the pressure on long enough for the kill to land. With six attackers credited on the loss and ten participants in the field overall, the Loki appears to have been outmatched once the engagement closed.
THE BREAKDOWN
The destruction was not just about the ship itself. Roughly 1 billion ISK of value was lost with another 327.2 million ISK recovered, while ammunition and cap charges were partly destroyed or dropped in the wreckage. The hold included heavy assault missiles, heavy missiles, and Navy Cap Booster 150 charges, hinting at a fitted combat ship prepared for active fighting rather than a passive transit run.
WHY IT MATTERS
For Shadow Cartel, the loss of a Loki is the kind of setback that stings immediately: an expensive, flexible cruiser removed in a single encounter. For Black Ribbit, it was a clean hunt that turned a short window of opportunity into a major prize. In a region where expensive hulls rarely die quietly, Ladistier delivered another reminder that even a well-equipped cruiser can vanish fast once a hostile gang gets the angle.
