Redeemer Lost in Balle as Small Hunt Pays Off

A Redeemer was destroyed in Balle in a sharp small-scale catch that appears to have left the black-ops battleship exposed long enough for a compact strike force to finish the job. The 1.4 billion ISK loss, carried by Goonswarm Federation pilot TAELllilou Laleelay of Ministry of Offense, ended with Something Really Pretentious claiming the prize.

THE CATCH

The engagement in Balle was brief, but the outcome was decisive. With only six participants involved overall, the fight never grew into a full brawl; instead, it looks like a tight interception that quickly narrowed around the Redeemer. The presence of a Keres alongside two Khizriels suggests a deliberately arranged catch rather than a random skirmish.

THE BREAK

KracKstar of Something Really Pretentious delivered the final blow in a Khizriel, with Pudenyaw adding heavy damage in the same ship class. That combination likely left the Redeemer under enough pressure that escape became impossible once the tackle held. Sexy Sadza’s Keres appears to have played the kind of supporting role that often decides whether a target slips away or dies where it stands.

THE LOSSES

The Redeemer did not simply go down cleanly; it also shed a substantial amount of cargo and fittings in the process. Of the 1.4 billion ISK tied up in the loss, 1.2 billion ISK was destroyed and 241.1 million ISK dropped. Among the destroyed or scattered items were helium isotopes, nanite repair paste, burned logic circuits, and defective current pumps, while 112 thruster consoles were among the items recovered from the wreckage.

WHY IT MATTERS

A black-ops battleship is never a casual loss, and in a small engagement like this, every ship on grid matters. For Goonswarm Federation, the destruction of the Redeemer in Balle represents a costly moment of vulnerability. For Something Really Pretentious, it was a clean result: a compact gang, a high-value target, and a kill that turned a brief encounter into a memorable prize.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Fifty-two point nine billion ISK, gone. One killmail. Eight hundred and forty-seven pilots on the record. Amamake has swallowed fleets, capitals, and more than a few alliances' sense of direction over the years. It has rarely swallowed 52.9 billion ISK in a single ship that was not even a capital. The victim was the Sarathiel, flying under the banner of Warlock Industries Alliance. The credited killer was Minmatar Fleet Associates. And every one of those 847 names belongs to the same kill.
