THE CATCH
The engagement in P3EN-E appears to have centred on one target: DeadDuck’s Redeemer, a ship that does not often survive being seen at the wrong moment. What unfolded was not a duel but a hunt, with Fraternity. and their allies bringing enough pressure to ensure the black ops battleship had little room to work with once contact was made.
THE FIRE
The final blow came from Platinum Hunter in a Maelstrom, but the damage was shared across a wider field. Notable fire also came from other Maelstroms flown by Lethality Lives, Redrin of Pandemic Legion, Devastatorr, and Logan Aldeland, suggesting a concentrated barrage rather than a lone finishing shot. With 84 participants reported around the fight, the scene points to a crowded and fast-moving collapse once the Redeemer was exposed.
THE LOSSES
The ship’s destruction left behind a mixed result: about 965.7 million ISK destroyed and 44 million ISK recovered. Among the cargo and fittings lost were large reserves of Helium Isotopes, along with Nanite Repair Paste, Warrior II drones, Navy Cap Booster 3200 charges, and Valkyrie II drones. The loss of isotopes in particular suggests the Redeemer was carrying the fuel and support it needed to stay operational, only for that margin to disappear with the ship itself.
THE SIGNIFICANCE
For The Initiative., losing a Redeemer is more than a routine casualty. It is a reminder of how quickly an expensive and specialised hull can become a liability when caught in the wrong place by the wrong force. For Fraternity., the kill reads as a cleanly executed interception with enough allied weight behind it to turn exposure into destruction in moments.
