Redeemer and Proteus Lost in a 73-Second Dracarys. Strike in 8Q-UYU

A brief but costly fight in 8Q-UYU left Dracarys. with a 5.7 billion ISK prize and Siberian Squads, Ferrata Victrix, and Ant Tiger nursing the wreckage. In barely over a minute, the engagement appears to have turned on a sharp interception, ending with a Redeemer, a Proteus, and a capsule destroyed before the defenders could recover.

THE CATCH

The engagement unfolded in 8Q-UYU between 10:34:36 and 10:35:49 UTC, a narrow window that suggests the fight was decided almost as soon as it began. Thirty-eight pilots were involved, with Dracarys. forming the attacking side against a mixed response from Siberian Squads, Ferrata Victrix, and Ant Tiger. The scale was not massive, but the value at stake was unmistakable: 5.7 billion ISK in losses across just four ships.

THE REDOEMER FALLS

The largest prize was a Redeemer flown by Andrey Activator2 of Siberian Squads, from Ros Shovel Corporation. Dracarys. brought 20 attackers to bear on the ship, and the final blow came from Kali Squat in a Nidhoggur. The Redeemer’s loadout suggests it was operating with intent rather than as disposable bait: Imperial Navy Multifrequency L, Scorch L, Navy Cap Booster 3200s, helium isotopes, and nanite repair paste all feature among the wreckage. Even so, the pressure appears to have been too much, and the black ops battleship was stripped of 1.4 billion ISK before being destroyed outright.

THE BREAK

Alongside the Redeemer, a Proteus and a capsule were also lost, turning the fight from a single high-value catch into a clean collapse. The mix of ship losses points to a force that was caught while trying to maneuver or disengage, rather than a prolonged line battle. Dracarys. did not need a long engagement; it needed control, and it seems to have had it early. The attackers’ heavier damage dealers included a Naglfar Fleet Issue, a Tengu, a Vagabond, and a Legion, giving the strike both punch and reach once the target was pinned.

THE COST

For Dracarys., the result was a compact but satisfying haul. For the defenders, it was a sharp reminder that even a short encounter can become expensive when high-end hulls are exposed. The loss of a Redeemer alone would sting; adding a Proteus and capsule suggests the fight ended in disorder, not an orderly withdrawal. In New Eden, that kind of short, violent contact can matter as much as a larger battle — especially when it removes expensive assets and leaves only seconds for the losing side to understand what went wrong.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
