THE FIREPOWER
The final blow went to Fantasia V in a Raven, with several other Initiative Ravens helping pile on the damage. wsad997, WD0810353, Eric3151, and Seapurple all contributed heavy fire, suggesting the Barghest was met with concentrated missile pressure rather than a drawn-out duel. The ship's fittings tell the same story: heavy missiles were either destroyed in the wreck or recovered in small quantities, evidence of a combat ship fully loaded for a fight that ended before it could pull clear.
THE LOSSES
For Fraternity., the loss was not just the hull itself but the fitting investment that went with it. Of the 1.3 billion ISK total value, about 1.2 billion was destroyed and only 83.4 million ISK dropped. That left little to salvage from the wreck, and the Barghest's expensive payload was stripped apart in the exchange. Even with no wider battle on record, a loss of that size is enough to sting on its own.
