THE HAMMER FALLS
The attack force came from Howitzers and Champagne, with the final blow delivered by Otala Akola Ijonen in a Redeemer. The damage list suggests this was not a solitary strike, but a coordinated pile-on that included Chaoshem MayDuke in a Kronos and Daraid Trilnos in a Gnosis, alongside additional fire from pilots flying Redeemer and Panther-class hulls. That mix points to a deliberate catch rather than a brief chance encounter, with heavy ships brought in to make sure the Rattlesnake could not simply absorb the pressure and slip away.
THE COST
When the wreck cooled, the Rattlesnake had shed 1.7 billion ISK in destroyed value, while 1.3 billion ISK in fittings and cargo reportedly dropped. The cargo hold’s heavy supply of Scourge Heavy Missiles underlines what was lost: a combat ship committed far from home, carrying enough ammunition to suggest it had been ready for more fighting before the engagement ended abruptly.
