Snuffed Out accounted for the attacking side, while the Raitaru belonged to Versatile Pilot Association Holding. What might have begun as a routine structure attack instead became a costly destruction event once the hull was pinned and the damage began to land in earnest.
THE PRESSURE BUILDS
Snuffed Out’s assault was carried by a line of Legions, with The-Quartermaster delivering the final blow in the cruiser. Several other pilots in the same ship class also contributed heavy damage, suggesting a coordinated application of force rather than a quick opportunistic strike. The structure ultimately could not hold, and the fight ended in a clean destruction rather than a prolonged standoff.
THE BREAK
When the Raitaru went down, more than half a billion ISK in value was destroyed outright and 941.3 million ISK in assets dropped. Among the items lost were a Standup Research Lab I and the Raitaru Upwell Quantum Core, both reminders that structure losses in New Eden rarely end with the hull alone. For the owners, the destruction represents a sharp and immediate setback; for Snuffed Out, it is another completed eviction of a target that could not be saved.

The scale of the event may not match a capital slaughter or a titan ambush, but it still matters. A Raitaru is not a trivial casualty, and losing one in Jan signals that the structure was exposed long enough for attackers to bring sustained pressure and finish the job.
