THE CATCH

The target was a Raitaru, and that alone made the outcome expensive. In New Eden, structures do not die quietly, and this one held enough value to make the fight feel worth the trouble: 2.8 billion ISK in total losses, with 1 billion ISK destroyed and another 1.7 billion ISK recovered from the debris field.

THE ASSAULT

Something Really Pretentious committed seven attackers to the destruction, backed by a mix of heavy-hitting hulls. Golden Helmet’s Leshak led the damage, with support from additional Leshaks, an Apocalypse Navy Issue, and a Brutix Navy Issue. The sustained pressure suggests this was not a fast opportunistic shot, but a deliberate grind against a structure that could not push them off in time.

THE BREAK

The final blow came from Golden Helmet, ending the Raitaru’s resistance after 1.8 million points of damage were piled on by the top attacker alone. The structure’s fittings and stockpiles were torn apart in the process, including large quantities of Helium Fuel Block, Standup Light Missile, and Standup missile ammunition, while a Standup Gravimetric ECM Script also dropped from the wreckage.

THE LOSSES

For Everlasting Exploration Ltd., the loss was singular but significant: a Raitaru is a practical asset, not a trophy, and its destruction removes both industrial utility and a fixed point of presence in Mesybier. The attack’s scale suggests the defenders were either absent or unable to force the issue before the structure went down.
