THE CATCH

The loss unfolded in Uusanen at 23:57 UTC, where a Providence flown by Tymara Jade of Perkone was caught and destroyed in what appears to have been a tightly executed hunt. Four attackers are credited on the final loss, with Sigma Grindset named as the primary attacking organization and The Dark Vanguard appearing through the final-blow pilot, Marq Virpio. The encounter involved 10 participants overall, suggesting a small but decisive skirmish rather than a sprawling fleet action.

THE BREAKDOWN

The ship itself carried the kind of value that makes a hauler worth the trouble: the total loss reached 3 billion ISK. Roughly 1.9 billion ISK was destroyed outright, while about 1 billion ISK dropped into space, giving the attackers a substantial return for the effort. Heavy Water, Mining Equipment Preservation Charges, Nanite Repair Paste, and other industrial cargo were either recovered or scattered in the wreckage, while shield and mining laser charges were destroyed with the ship.

THE FINAL BLOW

The killing blow came from Marq Virpio in a Retribution, a smaller ship finishing off a far larger and more expensive target. That kind of end rarely looks accidental. Supporting damage came from PointBlankSniper66 in a Harbinger Navy Issue and AmoriA in a Draugur, with Noodle Udan’s Arazu also listed among the attackers. The mix suggests the Providence was pinned, pressured, and unable to escape once contact was made.

WHY IT MATTERS

For Perkone, the destruction of a Providence is more than a costly setback; it is the loss of a heavy industrial asset and whatever operation it was supporting. For Sigma Grindset, it is the sort of clean, high-value interception that turns a brief engagement into a noteworthy score.
