Providence Cut Down in Uedama as Catalysts Close the Trap

A Providence hauling through Uedama was brought down in a swift attack that turned a 3.5 billion ISK prize into wreckage and scraps. The freighter, flown by Artemis Entrerey of Eviction-Scout Inc., was overwhelmed by 26 attackers from L.E.G.I.O.N, with the final blow landing from a Catalyst flown by zLegion 18.

THE CATCH

The destruction unfolded in Uedama, where one of New Eden’s busiest choke points again proved unforgiving. The target was a Providence, a ship built to carry enormous value and just as notorious for becoming a prize when it is caught exposed. In this case, that exposure appears to have been brief but fatal: a single freighter loss worth 3.5 billion ISK, met by a concentrated strike from a coordinated group of Catalysts.

THE ATTACKERS CLOSE IN

L.E.G.I.O.N committed 26 pilots to the kill, and the damage profile suggests a classic high-speed interdiction effort rather than a drawn-out exchange. Several Catalysts contributed heavily to the destruction, with zLegion 03, zLegion 08, zLegion 04, and zLegion 06 all dealing substantial damage before zLegion 18 secured the final blow. The result was decisive. The Providence had no room to recover once the attackers were on top of it.

THE LOSS

What the freighter was carrying only sharpened the impact of the loss. Alongside compressed blue ice that was destroyed outright, the wreck also yielded a small amount of surviving cargo, including modules such as Reinforced Bulkheads II, Inertial Stabilizers II, Overdrive Injector System II, and Expanded Cargohold II. That mix suggests a ship fitted for movement and endurance, but not one that could withstand the fire brought against it. The destroyed value alone came to 3.4 billion ISK, leaving little doubt that the ambush was worth the effort for its hunters.

WHY IT MATTERS

For Eviction-Scout Inc., the loss of a Providence in Uedama is the kind of setback that can sting well beyond the value of the hull itself. For L.E.G.I.O.N, it was a clean interception in one of the cluster’s most dangerous trade corridors, the sort of kill that reinforces just how quickly a freighter can be stripped from the lane when attention slips for even a moment. In Uedama, that moment can be expensive.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
