The kill drew in nine participants and ended with Pivovarna Union and their allies claiming the field, while Moss Piglet Preservation Society lost a prized ship and a cargo hold full of combat charges.

THE CATCH

The engagement in J141046 was brief, but it had all the markings of a properly set trap. A Moss Piglet Preservation Society Proteus, flown by Disciple Amphal of Protean Concept, came under pressure from a five-ship attack led by Pivovarna Union. The strike force was reinforced by pilots from Seriously Suspicious, and the combined firepower was enough to turn a valuable strategic cruiser into a burning wreck before it could recover.

THE PRESSURE BUILDS

The attackers leaned on the Proteus with Vargurs at the core of the damage, supported by a Vedmak, suggesting a deliberate hunt rather than a passing chance encounter. mitka Nalelmir, flying a Vargur for Pivovarna Union, landed the final blow, but the damage came from a group effort: Bigy, Knapica, Daythor danGlotka, and Victus Primeark all added weight to the assault. In a fight this short, every volley mattered, and the Proteus never appears to have found room to stabilize.

THE LOSS

When the ship went down, 821.7 million ISK of hull and fittings was destroyed and another 347.8 million ISK worth of assets dropped into the aftermath. The cargo tells part of the story: armor, rapid repair, evasive maneuver, and deployment charges were among the supplies carried aboard, with some destroyed and some recovered in the wreckage. For a ship built to matter in small-unit warfare, the loss was costly in both ISK and flexibility.

WHY IT MATTERS

A Proteus is never a routine casualty.
