Praxis Lost in Tight W4E-IT Skirmish

A 1.3 billion ISK Praxis was destroyed in W4E-IT in a brief fight that appears to have unfolded entirely within SONS of BANE space, with three pilots helping bring the ship down before it could hold the field. The engagement was small, but the price tag on the loss made it impossible to ignore.

THE CATCH

The fight in W4E-IT lasted only a moment on the record, but it ended with a Praxis reduced to wreckage and modules scattered between destruction and salvage. The ship belonged to bd-cat02 of The Zephyr Brigade, within SONS of BANE, and it was destroyed by a mixed set of attackers that also tied back to SONS of BANE. That unusual overlap suggests a local skirmish or internal clash rather than a clean outside hit.

THE BREAKDOWN

Three attackers are listed around the loss, including bd-cat01 and bd-cat03 flying Praxises, with an additional unidentified pilot in a Gistatis Legatus. Together they focused enough damage to overwhelm the target before it could escape. The final blow came from bd-cat01, while the main damage appears to have been spread across the small group rather than delivered by a single decisive volley.

THE LOSSES

The destroyed Praxis carried expensive fittings, including a Domination Large Proton Smartbomb, a Shadow Serpentis Explosive Armor Hardener, a Large Cap Battery II, a 'Stoic' Core Equalizer I, and a Large Capacitor Control Circuit I. Some of that hardware dropped, but enough was lost outright to make the ship a costly casualty. With 858.9 million ISK destroyed and another 453.8 million ISK recovered, the wreck still represented a substantial blow.

WHY IT MATTERS

For a one-ship engagement, the scale of the loss stands out. A Praxis is already a serious commitment, and losing one in a fight involving pilots from the same alliance points to a messy, close-range encounter rather than a routine patrol kill. Even without a wider battlefield around it, the incident in W4E-IT leaves behind a reminder that expensive ships can disappear very quickly when the wrong people are in the right place at the right time.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Fifty-two point nine billion ISK, gone. One killmail. Eight hundred and forty-seven pilots on the record. Amamake has swallowed fleets, capitals, and more than a few alliances' sense of direction over the years. It has rarely swallowed 52.9 billion ISK in a single ship that was not even a capital. The victim was the Sarathiel, flying under the banner of Warlock Industries Alliance. The credited killer was Minmatar Fleet Associates. And every one of those 847 names belongs to the same kill.
