The destroyed Praxis, flown by Ieri Ishikela of Goonswarm Federation’s Peoples Liberation Army, was caught in a situation that left little room to recover once the damage started landing. At this scale, the engagement reads as a sharp interception rather than a broad fleet action.
THE BREAKDOWN
The target’s fit suggests a ship built to stay in the fight: Domination Large Proton Smartbombs, a Large Nanobot Accelerator I, and multiple Capacitor Power Relay IIs all point to a Praxis set up for sustained close-range pressure. That kind of configuration can be dangerous in the wrong moment, but it also means the ship has to survive long enough to matter. Here, it did not. Roughly 1.3 billion ISK was destroyed with only 173.4 million ISK recovered, leaving the hull itself as the headline casualty.
THE FINAL BLOWS
Akeri Je Talvanen delivered the finishing damage in another Praxis, but the kill was clearly a shared effort. THKZY01 and Nalvula Ieki Panala, both also in Praxises, contributed heavy damage, while an unaligned Gistatis Primus added another layer to the pressure. The spread of damage suggests the target was boxed in and worn down by overlapping fire rather than overwhelmed by a single strike.
WHY IT MATTERS
Even when the names on both sides belong to the same alliance, a loss like this still stings. A 1.5 billion ISK Praxis is not a disposable casualty, and the destruction of its expensive modules makes the setback more than a simple hull loss. In HZFJ-M, Goonswarm Federation appears to have traded fire with itself and emerged with an expensive reminder that even familiar space can turn punishing in an instant.
