THE CATCH

The fight in HZFJ-M was over almost as soon as it started, but the price was far from small. A Praxis flown by Akeri Je Talvanen of Goonswarm Federation was destroyed in the engagement, making the ship the clear centrepiece of the action. With a reported total value of 1.5 billion ISK, it was the kind of loss that turns a small encounter into a painful one.

THE CLOSE RANGE EXCHANGE

The available data suggests a compact fight with only five participants involved. Four of the named attackers were tied to Goonswarm Federation, while an unidentified hostile in a Gist Seraphim also contributed damage. The destruction of the Praxis appears to have been the result of a tight, local brawl rather than a drawn-out chase, with damage landing fast enough to end the ship before any wider escalation could develop.

THE BREAK

The Praxis itself looks to have been heavily fitted for the fight, carrying Federation Navy Hammerhead drones, a Domination Large Proton Smartbomb, a Dark Blood Explosive Armor Hardener, and other modules that did not survive the engagement intact. The final blow came from THKZY01, also flying a Praxis, which adds a sharp edge to the loss: the ship was not simply overwhelmed by a distant fleet, but closed out in a duel-like exchange where every shot counted.

THE LOSSES

Of the 1.5 billion ISK tied up in the ship, 812.8 million ISK was destroyed and 716 million ISK appears to have been recovered. Even in a fight this small, that is enough to sting. For Goonswarm Federation, the result is not a strategic collapse, but it is a costly reminder that in New Eden, a moment of exposure in the wrong place can turn a valuable hull into wreckage in seconds.
