The ship’s destruction points to a fast interception rather than a prolonged exchange, with the target evidently trapped long enough for attackers to apply decisive damage.
THE KILLING BLOW
The final blow came from Piao liu0125 in a Machariel, with AY81 also contributing substantial damage in another Praxis. A third attacker, listed as an unaligned Angel Dreadnought, added further pressure. That combination suggests the target was under immediate threat from multiple angles, and the Praxis was unable to escape once the catch closed.
THE LOSS
At 1.5 billion ISK, the destruction was significant even by New Eden’s unforgiving standards. The Praxis carried a Domination Large Proton Smartbomb, a Large Micro Jump Drive, multiple Capacitor Power Relay II modules, and a Large Capacitor Control Circuit I among the notable fitting losses and drops. The mix of destroyed and recovered items suggests there was at least some value left to salvage, but not enough to soften the blow.
WHY IT MATTERS
Single-ship losses like this rarely change a region on their own, but they do show how quickly a valuable hull can be isolated and erased when the wrong ship is in the wrong place at the wrong time.
